Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado. Rachel has a warm, interactive, empowering, respectful, compassionate, trauma-informed, strength-based, and collaborative approach. She works with clients and their families to find the best therapeutic and individualized path to navigate challenges at home, school, and beyond. Rachel builds trusting relationships with her clients and supports their growth and healing through evidence-based therapies. Since finishing graduate school in 2007 at the University of Chicago, Rachel has received training to work with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress, substance abuse, eating disorders, abuse, grief and loss, suicidality, parenting challenges, social skill deficits, relationship struggles, and life adjustment challenges
Clients are often looking for new ways to understand their difficult emotions, behaviors, or memories. As a social worker, Rachel uses a culturally sensitive systems lens to help clients recognize their inner strengths, honor their lived resilience, resolve conflicts, and build effective coping skills. Rachel uses integrated therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Empowerment & Resilience Treatment Structure for Survivors of Trauma and Traumatic Stress, Play Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and self-regulation and mindfulness practices.
Rachel has a demonstrated history of providing quality services to clients in a variety of environments including integrated behavioral health, immigration advocacy services, child welfare, and juvenile justice. Rachel also holds a School Social Work license in Colorado and is committed to helping all families and students live authentic, successful, and resilient lives.
